I think we see the ideology that we aren't happy as people without someone to love. This is passive ideology because it is normal in this culture to strive for love and affection from others. It doesnt really stand out and say "HEY LOOK IDEOLOGY".
but then... Weird space guys do stuff. I dont know. I really dont know.
I think the idea that is expressed in this video is the thought of not running from love, or not running from something you may be afraid of. I feel that this music video is passive ideology.
All I know is that this is definitely passive ideology because I have no idea what is happening. I think there is a value of like trying to protect someone you love, but that's all I got out of it.
The ideology of this video is passive and symbolized through the moon, sun, and stars scenes, especially when the girl appears glowing like the sun. Together, it shows that he feels that the girl is his world.
I believe that the ideology is passive, because it is not in your face. The weekend is definitely singing to a girl. and something about love like all his songs. I am also insanely lost with this music video.
Whatever it is it's expressed passively. He expresses a value in love, the strength of love, the strength of redeemable actions, and that love can be felt after a painful lost relationship. The artist believes this so much so that he can "Feel It Coming." I don't really have a word for this ideology, or at least I don't know what it is
Ideals expressed in this video promote the use of drugs and casual sexual experiences because of the feelings of liberation they may provide to a person. I think this is passive ideology.
The values that I saw in the the whole idea that men save women, especially through the lyrics. So I guess the value of men over women is the idea. I think this is passive ideology because it doesnt out right say anything.
I saw two pretty big ideologies shown through this video, Golden-age way of thinking, and the topic of a male masochism in modern love. the golden age way of thinking is an active ideology as it is the feeling of "80s music is better, the synth heavy disco style is what music should be. Analog-appearance video is soooo much more authentic", which is a "Should be" idea.
I think that one of the values expressed in this is sort of that the perfect woman doesn't exist and even though this guy is ready and willing to be in a relationship, he can't find what he is looking for. This is shown by saying he's ready and what he's willing to do in a relationship and then by having this woman appear only to turn to stone and fall apart. I think this is passive?
In this music video, we see the ideology of sexual freedom. The values expressed in this song are taking it slow in a relationship, letting go of the past, sex, pleasure, and freedom. This ideology is being expressed actively because The Weeknd directly says sexual ideas when singing to the girl he is singing to, but lets her know "You don't have to rush when you're alone with me"
In this video I see a definite expression of passive ideology. This video starts with him singing about a girl who he could tell has been hurt before but he wants to love her and during the begining it keeps panning on her as stone. As the video continues the girl gradually goes from stone to a real person
Values of patriarch(ism) are shown in the song because the weekend is talking about taking it slow and sounds like he is in charge of what is going on. This is passive ideology because men are often taught to be leaders at a young age.
This video is showing an intense relationship. According to the video, there is somewhat of an intense emotion with a past relationship getting in the way.

ReplyDeleteI think the idea of rebirth and renewal are present in the music video, and I also think that the concept of perception is present in the music video.

ReplyDeleteI think this is an instance of passive ideology. The ideology of the video isn't explicitly shown, so it seems more passive.

ReplyDeleteHonestly, I'm not really sure. I thought I knew what "Can't Feel My Face" was about but turns out it was about cocaine not someone he loved. I guess

ReplyDeleteI have no idea but honestly i think zdfghju;po
ReplyDeleteThe ideology is about love in a hopeless world, how lust can be confused with love, and how love hurts. I think these are mainly passive
ReplyDeleteThe Weeknd's I Feel it Coming seems to express some sort of value on physical touch/love, eschewing a more emotional or romantic love.
