  1. Greene defines underfucking as going against the rules/norms, and expressing your own creativity however you want- but its sort of in a defiant, in your face way.

  2. Underfucking was a term for subcultures that wanted to fuck the system they were in, but their said subculture couldn't muster enough power for them to really hardcore fuck the system. So they found ways in which to fuck they system within their everyday practices, thus: underfucking.

They are using their music to STICK IT TO THE MAN, MAN! They may not have a huge following, but they are doing everything they can with their own personal platform.

  11. He basically describes under-fucking as a way to say "fuck the system" without creating absolute chaos and destroying instead. This method involves just finding ways to spite the system in your everyday life. One way they did this was by creating a cassette tape with no hopes of making it to final. The tracks were sort of a mess and weren't made to be the typical polished material everyone was used to.

  12. Greene defines underfucking as a system of smaller refusals that are more subtle than the usual "fuck the system". It has the same goals as the former, but its focus is more subtle and over a longer amount of time.

  17. I got an Anarchy in the UK vibe immediately thus led to the straight topic of "fuck the system." They are using their chosen outlet of aggression as music which is what Greene said is something that everyone who couldn't actually make a difference in the world can use.

  21. Shane Greene defines "underfucking" as a refusal to accept the system, or those in power. Narcosis, like most bands of its genre, enacts this through its completely cacophonous sound, which challenges the conceptions of what is required for music to be music.
